Williamston – Joseph Daniel "Joey" Bryant, 38, died September 24, 2008. Born in Ahoskie, and reared in Boykins, Va., he was a building construction supervisor and a member of Berean Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sonja Sullivan Bryant; a daughter, Amber Lynn Bryant; a son, Dustin Daniel Bryant; his father, James Walter Bryant, Jr., of Williamston; his mother, Barbara Johnson Turner, of Conway; five sisters, Deborah Kay Banks of Williamston, Crystal Jean Ingalls of Barco, Angel Beth Christopher of Washington, Jeannie Dawn Christopher of Portsmouth, Va, and Carol "Poochie" Jones of Emporia, Va; a brother, Walter Erwin "Bubba" Bryant of Greenville; three nieces, Amanda Dawn Ingalls, Taylor Christopher, and Kristina Harris; and nine nephews, Billy, Thomas, and Tony Bryant, Shane Donnelly, R. J. and Alex Diaz, Austin Christopher, Leon Turner, and Daniel Walton. Joey was predeceased by a sister, Carol Bryant.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins, Va. with the Rev. Charles Alvis officiating. Internment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
