Windsor- John Ruben Spivey, 86, passed away April 28, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Mr. Spivey was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Betty Braswell Spivey and was also predeceased by his parents, Ruben Scott Spivey and Carrie Carr Spivey. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and was retired from Lipton Tea Company.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, John Robert Spivey and wife Karen of Windsor and sister, Sarah S. Lowe of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Webb officiating.
