Courtland – John Patrick Kiernan, 59, passed away October 28, 2024 in Chippenham Hospital.  Born May 5, 1965 in Alexandria, he was the son of the late Jack Kiernan and Iris Juanita Barrett Kiernan.  He was also predeceased by a sister, Ellen Fowler.

John was a graduate of Franklin High School and was a retired sporting goods department manager at Walmart.

Left to cherish his memory is a nephew, Andrew Fowler; brother-in-law, Lawson "Dickie" Fowler; two aunts, Nancy and Pauline Barrett; and four cousins, Sherry Barrett (Thomas), Bridget Johnson (Grady), Laura Barrett, and Robert Barrett.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 2, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
