Courtland - Joseph Madison "Joey" Burgess, Jr., 73, passed away on June 26, 2021 after a long battle with illness.

Joey was a long time farmer and state employee.  He loved to spend time outdoors in his garden and drive around in his truck.  He was the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Connie; daughters, Katie Magette (Glenn) and April Larivee (Justin); and five grandchildren, Kaleb, Zach, Cam, Baylee, and Austin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3PM Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Wright Funeral Home.  Burial will be private.  The family requests that all flowers be sent to Wright Funeral Home or donations be made in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association.
