Franklin – JoAnn Gordon Shannon, 72, went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2021.  Born on August 2, 1948 in Matthews, VA, she was a daughter of the late Joe Dick Gordon and Virginia Belle Rowe Gordon and was also predeceased by a daughter, Stacey Leigh Williams, and a brother, Bernard Rockett.

JoAnn enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge and loved country music and dancing.

Survivors include her daughter, Vonda Kay Pettingill of Phenix City, AL; three sisters, "Patches" Alice Gordon, Brenda Marks, and Carol Burton (Mark); three brothers, Joseph Richard Gordon, James Shontz, and Robert Shontz (Kristine); and two grandchildren, David and Justin Pettingill.

Due to the Covid pandemic, services will be held at a later date.
