Carrsville – Jewel King Faison, 70, passed away February 15, 2019 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Jewel was born in Warrenton, NC the oldest of six children of the late Edward Gray King and Pattie Alston King and was also predeceased by her son Thomas Edward "Sonny" Faison. She was a 1967 graduate of Windsor (VA) High School and was a retired Administrative Assistant for Verizon Phone Company. She attended Radiant Life Ministries in Suffolk.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, Raymond Thomas Faison, Jr., one daughter Anissa K. Hathaway and her husband Rok of Camden , NC, three sisters, Vanessa Jones, Patsy King and Jackie Jones, two brothers, John King and Cecil King, two grandchildren, Katelyn S. Howard (Corey ) and Joel Strickland and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 11 AM Wednesday February 20, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Rev. Don Milner officiating. The burial will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Arcola, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 19 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
