Franklin – Jessie Griffin Turner, 84, widow of George Wilbur Turner, Jr., passed away on February 7, 2023 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  She was a daughter of the late Hubert Jesse Griffin and Linda Holt Griffin.  Jessie was also predeceased by her daughter, Susan Joyner, and a brother, David Griffin.

Jessie was a graduate of Wakefield High School and was a retired Humidity Room Tech from Union Camp Corporation.  She was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, George W. Turner, III and his wife Judy of Waverly; a sister, Barbara Wade; three grandchildren, Calli Kunkle and her husband Phillip, Nathan Turner, and AnnaBelle Turner; two great grandchildren, Rose Kunkle and Phillip Kunkle, Jr.; and a very special niece, Kim Wade Marks.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
