Sedley – Jessie Mae Lowe Cobb, 87, widow of Herman W. Cobb, passed away October 14, 2018 in The Village at Woods Edge.  She was a daughter of the late William Drew Lowe and Maggie Odell Ballard Lowe and was predeceased by three sisters Dorothy Turner, Helen Duck, and Mabel Lowe; and two brothers William Ballard Lowe and Stanley Lowe. Jessie Mae was a school bus driver for the Southampton County School System for 28 years and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter Ginger C. McFatter (Wayne); a son Herman Nelson Cobb (Pat); four very special grandchildren Dodie Thompson (Jeff), Drew Cutright (Ruth Anne), Beth Turner, and Lisa Lawrence (Jonathan); two step-grandchildren Carrie Fox (Jay) and Dillon Blythe (Paige); five great grandchildren Hunter, Noah, and Parker Thompson, Avery Cutright, and Mya Lawrence; and five step great grandchildren Blakely, Elan, and Xander Fox and Jackson and Quinn Blythe; several nieces and nephews; and a special cat Susie.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Black Creek Baptist Church with Pastor David Patton officiating.  The burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in Wright Funeral Home Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and suggest that memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church, 34163 Vicksville Rd., Franklin, VA 23851.  The family would like to thank the Assisted Living staff of The Village at Woods Edge for their love and care. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
