Courtland – Jerry Curtis Morgan, 83, passed away May 7, 2026 in Nans Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing.  A native of Headland, Alabama and a former resident of Courtland, he was a son of the late Marvette Curtis Morgan and Artie Missie Cutchen Morgan.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Virginia Whittemore Morgan and three sisters, Navelle Johnson, Mary Jo Little, and Julia Bridges.

Jerry was a veteran and a retired inspector in the Peanut Division with the Virginia Department of Agriculture.  He was a former Courtland, VA town councilman and former member of Boykins Lion's Club.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Lynn Arnette (Doug) and Laura Darden (Everett); seven grandchildren, Jessie Horton (Jonathan), Joey Arnette, Jerry Arnette, Morgan Lambert (Matthew), Matthew Darden (Kelly), and Heather Darden; a God-daughter, Desiree Pittman; 13 great grandchildren; and five nieces and four nephews.

Services will be private.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
