Courtland – Jean Louise Smith, aged 80, passed away January 29, 2023 in her home with her loved ones by her side.  Born in Boston, MA and a long-time resident of Wareham, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Louise Vandenberghe.

Jean was a retired certified nursing assistant.  She enjoyed crocheting and string art, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her life partner of 37 years, Edmond Hanrihan; two daughters, Kathleen Chaisson (Mark) and Kimberly Babin; a son, Robert J. Smith Jr. (Brenda); a sister, Carol O'Brien; five grandchildren, Mark, Dakota, Shawn, Cody, and Kaleb; and two great grandchildren, Bentley and Raylan.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in St. Jude Catholic Church.
