Courtland – Janice Marie Allen, 65, transitioned to her heavenly home on October 25, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Janice was born in Oxford, NC, a daughter of the late Roland and Vernell Murray Boyd and was predeceased by one sister, Priscilla Laswell and one brother, Roland Boyd, Jr.

She had been an employee of Walmart for over fifteen years and had been the personnel manager of the Walmart in Franklin. She especially enjoyed her responsibility for community affairs for the company.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kimberly Jasensky (Scott) of Sturgeon, MO and Joni DeCosimo (Jason) of Gates, NC, one son, Noah J.W. Allen (Ashley) of Prince George, known as the "best Grandma ever" by her four grandchildren, Caleb DeCosimo, Brayden DeCosimo, Savanna Allen and Dylan Allen, four nieces, Anita Bishop, Debbie Kenzle, Rhonda Miller and Lousia Barth (Matt), one nephew, Vincent Cardillo (Gwen), two aunts, Barbara Jones and Joyce Wilkins (Roy).

A celebration of Janice's life will be held at 2PM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Savage's United Methodist Church, 939 Willeyton Rd., Gates, NC. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the "GoFundMe page" via Facebook for a memorial bench to be erected at Norfolk Botanical Gardens. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
