Jane Moore Womack

Windsor – Jane Moore Womack, 89, passed away November 1, 2026 in Courtland Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 19, 1937 in Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Wesley Moore, Sr. and Florence Skinner Moore. She was also predeceased by her husband, Donald Grey Womack; twin sisters, June Holland and Jean O’Berry; and a brother, Wesley Moore, Jr.

Jane was a graduate of Holland High School and a retired Teacher’s Aide for Southampton County Schools. She was a member of Christ First Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Kathy G. Holt (Jimmy) of Windsor; two sons, Lee Gray (Nancy) of Courtland and David Gray (Penny) of Franklin; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Wednesday, November 4, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Breland officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Christ First Church, 116 Romans Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434.
