Franklin – James Lee "Tee Wee" Story, 79, passed away March 20, 2018 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born in Newsoms on May 7, 1938 to the late Minnie Hill and Jessie Giles Story and was predeceased by a son James Lee "Jimmy" Story, Jr., a brother Jesse L. Story, and a sister Blanche S. Drake. James was a retired insurance agent and district manager for over 40 years. He loved good food especially seafood and chocolate. He loved playing his guitars, fishing, hunting, the Yankee's, being a Sunday school teacher and deacon for Black Creek Baptist Church, and spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years Marie Slade Story; three daughters Rachel Blankenship (Johnny), Patricia McCormick (David), and Lori Lambdin; two sons Chris Richardson (Kim) and Roy Lupton (Sherri); eleven grandchildren Grace Blankenship, Zack and Isaac McCormick, Will Lambdin, Taylor and Anna Richardson, Daniel (Jett), Ryan (Samantha), and Rebecca Lupton, Patrick and Jennifer Story; two great grandchildren Avery and Connor Lupton; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Black Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Patton and Rev. Michael Barlow officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church or The Sojourners Relay for Life Team, c/o Linda Drake, 33103 Cypress Swamp Rd., Newsoms, VA 23874 .
