Carrsville – James Earl "Jim" McCaskey, 86, beloved husband of Margaret McCaskey, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2010. He was born in Martin County, NC, a son of the late Sam and Elsie Williams McCaskey and was retired after 20 years from Potomac Electric and Power Company. He also served with the Maryland Board of Education for 32 years as a driver instructor. Mr. McCaskey was a lifelong member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret Gray McCaskey; a step-son, Robert L. Gray and his wife, Suzanne, of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Robert Gray, Jr. and Patricia Gray Hagerty; two great-grandchildren, Brian Hagerty and Shannon Hagerty; and one brother, Richard Ray McCaskey of Carrsville and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Richard Peerey officiating. Interment will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
