Franklin – James Talmage "J.T." Lowers, Jr., 78, passed away July 15, 2025 peacefully at his home.  Born in Colerain, NC, he was a son of the late James T. Lowers, Sr. and Lula Mae Perry Lowers.

J.T. was a 1965 graduate of Murfreesboro High School and served as a Jet Mechanic in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was retired from the Sheet Finishing Department at Union Camp Corporation after 43 years of service.  J.T. loved listening to all kinds of music, watching television in his recliner, and had a kind heart and great sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Ann Thompson Lowers; two daughters, Lori Lowers Cutchins (Wayne) and Sharon Lowers Cutler (Harold, Jr.); a brother, Edgar "Eddie" Lowers (Donna); five grandchildren, Carrie Fox (Mike), Wendy Nahrebecki (David), Chad Cutchins, Anna Cutler, and Maggie Cutler; and three great grandchildren, John Dawson Timberlake, Allie James Timberlake, and Owen Nahrebecki.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2PM Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Southampton Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any veteran's charity or children's charity.
