Courtland – James Harvey Lee, V, 20, passed away September 15, 2019. James was born in Franklin and was a 2017 graduate of Southampton Academy and was on the 2016 and 2017 Baseball State Championship teams. He was a 2019 Honor Graduate in the Field Crop Technology School of North Carolina State University.  He loved farming especially cotton farming and working with his father and grandfather.  He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church where he was baptized and had given his life to Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, James Harvey "Jamie" Lee, IV and Sherry P. Lee, his twin sister Miranda Lynn Lee and his younger sister Morgan Amanda Lee, his maternal grandparents, Billy and Sharon Piersa, his paternal grandparents, J. H. "Jimmy" Lee, III and Ann B. Lee, and his beloved dog "Charlie" and other extended family and friends. James was a friend to all who knew him.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11 AM Tuesday September 17, 2019 in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland with Rev. John Paul Lotz officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the service in the Courtland Baptist Church Fellowship Hall . Memorial donations may be made to the Courtland Baptist Church Building Fund. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
