Eure, N.C.- James Kenneth "Boo" Johnson, 72, passed away July 24, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Boo was a native of Franklin , VA  and was a son of the late Lloyd James Johnson and Daisy Blythe Johnson. He was a graduate of Holland High School and a retired lead oiler foreman in the Maintenance Department of Union Camp Corporation after 43 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Mickey Lynn Johnson, one daughter Melissa Walker (Keith), five sons Thomas Borton, Dennis Greene (Cheryl), Daniel "Bull" Johnson (Carrie), Daryll Johnson (Christy), William Greene,  one sister Hazel "Tootsie" Parker (George), ten grandchildren, Dylan Johnson (Alyssa), Alysa Johnson (Tyree Brooks), Joshua Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Gabrielle Johnson, Alexandria Greene, Branden Greene (Madelynn), Nick Harris, Cameron Walker, Megan Walker, two great-grandchildren, Ava and Isabelle Anquetil.

Boo was predeceased by a son, James Kenneth Johnson II, a granddaughter Somer Johnson, and a brother Lloyd Ronald Johnson.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA, with the Rev. Wade Bennett officiating. The burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 5 PM in the funeral home and suggest that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
