Suffolk- James Eldridge "Jim" Jones, Jr., 69, a resident of Fayetteville, NC passed away January 14, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born in Suffolk and was a son of the late James E. "Snooks" Jones and Elizabeth Booth Jones.

He was a member of South Quay Baptist Church and a 1964 graduate of Holland High School and a graduate of Campbell University. A retired teacher, Jim taught seventh grade language arts in the Fayetteville , Cumberland County school system for thirty years.

Survivors include a sister, Eva Jones Williams of Suffolk, one nephew, N. Reuben Williams, Jr and his wife Alesia of Franklin and one great nephew, Nate Williams of Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev, James W. Browder, III officiating. A reception will follow the service at the home of Alesia and Reuben Williams at 1105 N. High St. in Franklin.
