Zuni – James Walter Holt, 62, died November 13, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Mabscott, WV., the son of the late James Wesley and Hazel Chapman Holt. He was a retired Army veteran of the Viet Nam era and was retired from Union Camp with 27 years service as a maintenance millwright. He was a member of the V F W Post 4411 and American Legion Post 73, and was a Christian.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Rose Jeffries Holt; two sons, James W. Holt, Jr. and John W. Holt; two sisters Julia Saul and Shirley Whitfield; and one granddaughter, Ashley Alexis Holt. Mr. Holt was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Monar.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at the Barrett-Johnson Cemetery, 17539 Black Creek Road, Zuni, Va., with the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating.
