Boykins, VA – Jimmy passed away unexpectedly at home on July 18, 2025. He was born November 27, 1946 to the late Henry and Maedell Fuller. Left to cherish his memory is his son Hank Fuller and wife Alex of Boykins, granddaughter Lainey James Fuller and grandson Hunter Bustin of Boykins, sister, Pat Sawyer (Carol) of Winter Haven, Florida, and cousin Dr. Earl Fuller (Dean) of Newsoms.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Jeannie D. Fuller.  Jimmy had some very special friends that were like family to him:  Serena, Vicky, Joey & Gwen, Snag and Tucker. Any one of them gathered at his shop on a regular basis. They all had a special place in his heart.

Jimmy graduated from Southampton High School in 1965 and was a former Virginia National Guardsman.  He had many interests over the years.  Racing brought him many hours of pleasure and he was especially proud of his 1965 Chevelle "Jimmy's Toy".  Jimmy had many talents and you can ask any area farmer who was the best welder that they knew and you would hear Jimmy Fuller many times.  He repaired equipment and in more recent years raised grass to bale for horses and cows. Having lived in Southampton County his entire life, he made many friendships over the years. He cherished each and every one of them and he will be missed by many. His granddaughter was fast becoming the apple of her Big Daddy's eye. All she had to do was look at him and smile and his heart would melt. He wasn't shy about going to his cell phone to share a recent picture of her.

As we all continue our lives, listen to a little beach music on Sunday afternoon, drink a cold beer, email the radio station (98.3 – email beachmemories@gmail.com) and dedicate a beach music song to Jimmy.  I know he and Jeannie are doing a little shagging as we speak.

The family would like to thank everyone for all acts of kindness shown to him over the years and to us during his difficult time. Each one will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 PM and at other times at the home.
