Sedley – James Clifton "Jimmie" Copeland, Jr., 87, passed away June 4, 2024 in Emporia Health and Rehabilitation.  Born in Carrsville, he was a son of the late James Clifton Copeland, Sr.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Rhonda Sue Beale Copeland, two brothers Henry Lewis Copeland, Sr. and J. Winston Copeland, and a grandchild.

Jimmie served in the US Navy and US Coast Guard.  He was a retired Millwright in the Maintenance Department at Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Linda Copeland Gregory, Kathy Copeland Larsen, and Christine Copeland Cutchins; a son, James Clifton Copeland, III; a step-son, Richard Bowen; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11AM to 2PM on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at the Bronco Rod and Gun Club.  Burial will be private in Rosemont Cemetery.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
