Suffolk- Irving Ellis Musselman, Jr., 71, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Mr. Musselman was a native of Radford and a longtime resident of the Holland Community. He was predeceased by his father Irving Ellis Musselman, Sr., and a sister Charlotte M. Blankenship.
Irving was a member of Holland Baptist church where he served on the board of Deacons, church moderator, was a Sunday School teacher and served on many other committees. He was also a member of the Holland Ruritan Club and the Holland Cemetery Board. He was a retired quality control supervisor for the International Paper Particle Board Plant after 32 years of service and had been a former employee of National Linen Service for 8 years.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Nancy Thomas Musselman, his mother, Virgie Moore Musselman of Radford, a daughter Hope M. Greene and her husband Steve of Franklin, two sons, David Thomas Musselman and his wife Brenda of Fredericksburg and Joseph Allen Musselman and his wife Kelly of Sunbeam, two sisters, Jackie M. Armbrister of Bristol. TN and Bonnie M. Stone of Radford, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 1PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Robert W. Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8PM Monday at the funeral home and suggests memorial donations be made to the Franklin Cooperative Ministry, P.O.
