Capron – Ira Thomas Barham, "Tommy", 70, loving husband, Daddy, Pop, Papa, and friend, passed away September 20, 2023 at the Sentara Heart Hospital with his family by his side.

He was the retired owner of J.T. Barham & Co. after working there since the age of 13. Once retired, he enjoyed every day loving his family, testifying of Jesus, fishing, and hunting.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis; a son, Christopher Thomas Barham and his wife, Stacey, of Capron; and his daughter, Clara Brooke Barham (Kevin Brown) of Murfreesboro, N.C. He is also survived by three devoted grandchildren that adored spending time with their precious Pop and Papa: William Thomas and Elizabeth Avery Barham, and Laettner Cleveland Jenkins. Survivors also include two sisters: Deborah Barham and Betty Jane Barham.

Per his wishes, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a Christian organization or charity.
