Como, NC – Ingeborg Arndt Whitley, 56, died January 16, 2009 at her home. Born in Munich, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Ewald and Rosa Pauline Arndt.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, George Elmore Whitley, Jr.; a son, Brian Kevin Whitley and wife, Jill, of Baltimore, MD; brother-in-law, Vernon S. Whitley and wife, Beate, formerly of Murfreesboro, and their son, Robert R. Whitley; three sisters, a brother and a number of nieces and nephews in Germany.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Buckhorn Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Caulkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, NC 27910. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is assisting the family.
