Obituary

Boykins- Hylah Marks Griffin,92, passed away February 24, 2016. A lifelong resident of Southampton County she was one of six children of the late Lloyd Nathaniel Felts and Anna Gillette Felts and was predeceased by her first husband, Paul Woodrow Marks and a grandson, Robert Trent Story.

She was a 1941 graduate of Capron High School and a longtime member of the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxillary and a member of Vincent's Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, T.R. Griffin, two daughters, Ann Story (Bobby), Natalie Austin (Tim), two sons, Woody Marks (Cheryl) and Wayne Marks (Lynn), stepdaughter, Melanie Griffin and stepson Michael Griffin, four grandchildren , six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held at 5PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Nancy Palmer and William Hart Gillette officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Vincent's Grove United Methodist Church, c/o of Randy Burgess, 23359 Hanging Tree Rd., Courtland, VA 23837. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
