Franklin - Henry Elvin "Hank" Wethington, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026 at the age of 71.  He was born on August 3, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL.

A long-time resident of Southampton County, he graduated from Southampton High School in 1973.  He is best known for his years working as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Cheatwood (Eric) of Bremen, GA; grandchildren, Addison and Evan Cheatwood of Bremen, GA; sister, Patricia Dorn (Ralph) of Sebring, FL; as well as a niece and nephew, aunt, uncle, and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Elvin Wethington, Sr. and beloved mother, Oneta Hancock.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
