Franklin – Hazel Sledge Faison, 85, widow of Raymond T. Faison, Sr., died July 16, 2008. She was born in Skippers, the daughter of the late George and Lola Slagle Sledge. Mrs. Faison was also predeceased by a grandson, Bartlett Faison and a brother, Louis Sledge. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Joan C. Hicks and husband, Rev. David, of Pinehurst, NC; four sons, Raymond T. "Tommy" Faison and wife, Jewel, of Carrsville, George Harold Faison and wife, Laverne, of Zephyrhills, FL, J. Mark Faison and wife, Sharon, of Springfield, MO, Phillip Faison and wife, Terri of Camden, NC; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 10 am at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. David L. Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Greensville Memorial Cemetery in Emporia.
