Franklin – Hazel Grace Lawrence Drewry, 83, widow of the love of her life Clinton McKinley "C.M." Drewry, Jr., passed away February 10, 2018 at the East Pavilion. Mrs. Drewry was a native of Franklin and a former resident of Newport News. She was a daughter of the late Willie Edward Lawrence and Winnie Wynn Lawrence Pierce and Wiley Benjamin Pierce. She was also predeceased by an infant son C.M. Drewry, III, a sister Mamie Mae Pritchett and brothers, Louis, Willie A. and Johnnie E. Lawrence.

Mrs. Drewry was a 1953 graduate of Franklin High School and grew up in the Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Crystal Lynn McClintock (Paul) of San Antonio, TX, Cheryl Wynn Drewry Beaver (Joseph) of Yorktown and Cheri "Gwynn" Drewry Desaulniers of Angier, NC, sisters, Barbara Jean Barron (Walter) of Gunnison, CO and Winnie Pierce Patterson (Fred) of Norfolk, six grandchildren , Michelle, Kevin, Elyse, Lanie, Carmen and Hannah and eleven great grandchildren, Skye, Bliss, Eden, Glory, Isaac, Everett, Haven, Aiden, Van, Curren and Eleanor.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Decker officiating. Burial will be private.
