Statesville, NC – Hazel Matthews Davis, 81, widow of James Frederick Davis, Jr., passed away December 16, 2010 at Autumn Care of Statesville. She was born in Danville, VA., and was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Sidney Matthews. She was office manager for J. Frederick Davis Engineering, Inc., and a member of Edenton Methodist Church in Raleigh.
Left to cherish her memory are two her daughters, Dr. Florence Elizabeth Davis and husband, Dr. Rocco J. Tritico of Bermuda Run, NC and Margaret Lee Argo and husband, Michael, of San Diego, CA; two sons, James F. "Rick" Davis, III, and wife, Beth of Charlotte, NC and Ronald M. "Ronnie" Davis of Franklin, VA.; and eleven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Wester-Davis Cemetery, 21544 Story Station Road, Franklin. Wright Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
