Courtland – Harry Edward Miller, III, 66, died March 5, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Tower Hill, PA, the son of the late Mary Alice Fedarko Miller and Harry E. Miller, Jr., and was predeceased by a son, David Michael Miller. Harry was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Viet Nam War and was the former owner of Miller Floors. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections as a lieutenant at the Southampton Correctional Center.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Katherine Barnes Miller, one daughter, Stacye M. Stephenson of Murfreesboro, NC; one son, Derrick E. Miller of Capron; and three grandchildren, Stephen Miller, Alexandria Stephenson, and Ashley Stephenson.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Monday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Father Carl DeSouza officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
