Como – Harold Savvas Gore, 52, our loving father and loyal and dedicated husband, passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2013 in Emporia VA. He was born in Portsmouth, VA and was a graduate of Hertford County High School. Harold was a Sergeant for the NC Department of Corrections at Rivers Correctional Institution in Winton. He was predeceased by his father, Lewis Dossey Gore.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cynthia Young Gore; two daughters, Jennifer Futrell (Scott) of Newsoms, VA and Ashley Eure (Tony) of Gatesville, NC; one grandchild, Trinity Eure and his mother, Joanna Christie Gore of Como, NC.
