Obituary

Sedley – Hannah Lynn Gray, 21, passed away November 9, 2025. Hannah was a graduate of Southampton High School and worked at Applebees in Franklin. She was full of life, laughter, and love. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved fishing—never passing up an opportunity to bait a hook with her dad, brother, and papaw.  Listening to music, painting and playing The Sims were how she spent most of her down time.

Hannah was famously "addicted" to collecting Squishmallows. What started as a few cute, squishy friends quickly turned into a small army that took over her bed, her shelves, and sometimes her dignity. She loved them with the same big-hearted enthusiasm she brought to everything. If a new Squishmallow dropped, Hannah knew — and somehow, one always found its way home with her.

She also had a quirky love for street signs—every one obtained responsibly and in a very intentional way, of course.  She treated them like treasures, displaying them proudly alongside her favorite safety cone, Patrice, who held a place of honor in her room and in our family stories.

Hannah was known for her strong, vibrant personality.  Her bold spirit and perfectly timed sarcasm brought laughter and honesty to everyone around her. She touched the lives of many and made a lasting impact on everyone she met.  Her presence and laughter made every room brighter, and her absence now feels impossible to comprehend.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents Richard and Patricia Gray; her siblings Terry Gray Deschamps (Cristofer), William Gray, Alexander Gray, and Nicklas Gray; her nephew Oliver Deschamps; her grandparents Howard and Terry Sprankle, David Gray, and Patricia Feickert; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends.  Hannah was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elaine Gray and her uncle, David Gray.

A celebration of Hannah's life will take place at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin on January 3, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. We invite all who knew her to attend and share memories.
