Boykins – Harold Eugene "Hank" Snow, 91, passed away November 5, 2013. Born in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Olivia Linkus and John Henry Snow and was predeceased by his wife, Connie, and a son, Donald Ray Snow. Hank was an Army veteran of WWII and for over 40 years was involved in the restoration of antique automobiles. Hank was a fixture in the Boykins community and ran the towns Train Museum. He was the founding member of the VA/NC "Cars Are Fun" Car club which he dearly loved. Hank was most proud of his '57 Cadillac painted red and white in honor of Patsy Cline who owned the same car and whose music he greatly enjoyed. This same vehicle, along with a '63 Ford Galaxy Convertible and a '53 Crestline Victoria, were featured in the 1992 film "Deuce Coupe".
Survivors include his sons, Larry and his wife, Ann, of Conway, NC and Jon Snow of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel with the Rev. Michael Baugham and Rev. Charles Alvis officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at 2 PM in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
