Courtland- Guy Wesley Ross, 83, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Alabama and a son of the late Jodie and Emma Coker Ross. He was also predeceased by a son Joey Dean Ross.

Guy was a retired paper mill foreman at Union Camp Corp. with 40 years of service and was a Navy Veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Baptist.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Shirley Story Ross, a daughter, Deborah R. Hawks of Severn, NC, a son, Michael O. Ross of Emporia and a daughter- in- law, Kathy Ross of Windsor, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Jimmy Aarons officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
