Courtland – Gregory Thomas "Greg" Lassiter, 50, passed away October 4, 2013. Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late Marvin Randolph "Buck" Lassiter, Jr. and Vicki Burgess Lassiter. He was reared in Boykins and Sedley and was a graduate of Southampton High School. Greg was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Ina Burgess and Marvin and Mildred Lassiter and his aunt, Judi Burgess Collins.
Survivors include daughters, Angela Nicole Lassiter and Ashley Elizabeth Lassiter; brother, Clete W. Lassiter and wife, Renee; grandchild, Kaitlynn Leeann Billabos; aunts and uncles, Tommy and Alice Burgess and Bobby and Pat Lewis and great aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Monday, October 14, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Nancy Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to Vincent's Grove United Methodist Church or Boykins Baptist Church.
