Branchville – Glenn Franklin Barrett, 76, passed away on August 30, 2022 in Maryview Hospital.  Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late Richard Washington Barrett, Sr. and Ruby Denson Barrett.  He was also predeceased by a sister, Iris Juanita Kiernan, and four brothers, Richard Washington Barrett, Jr. Enos Lee Barrett, Vernon Carroll Barrett, and Douglas McArthur Barrett.

Glenn was a siding contractor for over 30 years.  He enjoyed woodworking in his shop and growing tomatoes.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Nancy Phelps Barrett; six nieces, Cindy Harrup Flauter (Matt), Amy Harrup Coggeshall (Jerry), Kristen Nicole Phelps, Laura Barrett, Bridgette Barrett Johnson (Grady), and Sherry Barrett; two nephews, John Kiernan and Robert Barrett; a special great niece, Faith Ann Johnson; and three great nephews, Jonathan Coggeshall, Andrew Flauter, and Aaron Coggeshall.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Sunday, September 4, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
