Courtland – Glenda Whitley Topping, 57, passed away unexpectedly August 23, 2021 in her home.  Born in Suffolk on October 22, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Garland Seward Whitley and Jo Ann Hamlett Whitley.  She is also predeceased by a brother, Gerald Whitley.

Glenda is a 1983 graduate of Windsor High School and a graduate of Louisburg College.  She was retired from Walmart in Suffolk.  Glenda was a loving mother and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Brandon and Kyle Topping; her partner of 20 years, John Stillman; a brother, Michael Whitley; and a grandson, Atlas Topping.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Antioch Church Cemetery, 23011 Antioch Rd., Windsor, VA with Pastor David Dillon officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
