Courtland – Gladys Davis Williams, 95, passed away on November 15, 2018.  Born in Franklin to the late Paul Blake Davis and Gladys Howell Davis, she is predeceased by her husband Stanley Dale Williams, two sisters Josephine D. Barrett and Marjorie D. Whitehead, and a brother Paul Beamon Davis, Sr.  Gladys was a graduate of Courtland High School, a librarian at Walter Cecil Rawls Library and Museum, and a member of Sebrell United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons S. Dale Williams, Jr. (Candy) of Exmore and Gary D. Williams (Dorothy) of Midlothian; six grandsons; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A Graveside Service will be at 3 PM Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland with the Rev. James W. Browder, III officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin and suggests that memorial donations be made to Walter Cecil Rawls Library, 22511 Main Street, Courtland, VA 23837.  www.wrightfuneralhome.org
