Obituary

Franklin – Gladys Alease Mincher, 101, widow of John Thomas Mincher, passed away July 30, 2018. Mrs. Mincher was born in Galatia, NC and was a daughter of the late Daniel M. and Clara Jordan Garriss. Mrs. Mincher was a long time resident of Roanoke Rapids and a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke Rapids and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter Janet Piersa (Stan); one son Thomas D.. Mincher (Judy); two grandchildren Thomas D. Mincher, Jr. (Laura) and Katheryn M. Green (Chris); six great grandchildren Thomas D. Mincher, III, Robert Mincher, Sarah Ann Mincher Cocchiola (Michael), Carter Green, Ryan Green, and Morgan Green; two step grandchildren Sheila Davis (David) and Stan Piersa, Jr. (Angela); four step great grandchildren Kevin and Ashley Davis, McKenzie and Garrett Piersa; and four nieces McCoy Perkinson Gaynor, Claudette Perkinson, Clara Perkinson, and Jean Cooper Jones.

A Graveside Funeral will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 3, 2018 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with the Rev. James H. Hyatt III officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 N. High Street, Franklin, VA 23851. www.wrightfuneralhome.org

Due to inclement weather, the funeral service will be held in the chapel of Wrenn Clark and Hagen Funeral Home, 1015 W. 5th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC at 2 PM Friday, August 3, 2018.
