Richmond – Gerald Lincoln "Jerry" Tinkham, 67, passed away September 11, 2014 at a Charlotte, NC hospital. He was born in Suffolk and reared in Sedley and Richmond and was a 1965 graduate of Douglas Freeman High School. Jerry was a US Air Force veteran and was a retired bookkeeper for Mayes TV and Applicance. He was a member of Buford Road Baptist Church in Richmond.
He was predeceased by his parents, Homer Keith Tinkham and Edith Owen Bradshaw Tinkham.
Survivors include two brothers, Keith Tinkham (Shirley) of Charlotte and Elliott Tinkham (Connie) of Cockeysville, MD; nieces and nephews, Natalie Tinkham, Kit Tinkham, Nicholas Tinkham, Jacquelyn T. Young, and Jonathan Tinkham and seven great nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral with military honors will be held at 3 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Memorials may be made to Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Road, Richmond, VA 23235.
