Spotsylvania County – Gerald Lee Elks, 56, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.  Gerry touched many lives through his work as an EMT with AMR and as a Master Mason with Franklin Masonic Lodge 151.  He was an Eagle Scout and loved the Washington Redskins.  Gerry was a friend to many and was devoted to helping others.

Survivors include wife Robin Elks; daughter Jennifer Elks Hamilton (Brandon); stepdaughter Melanie Hamilton (Drew); granddaughter Harper Kate Hamilton; his parents, Gerald and Opal Elks; brother David Elks (Sandra); and two nieces Kayla Elks Smith (Corey) and Megan Elks.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Franklin Baptist Church with the Rev. David Elks and Rev. Charles Qualls officiating. A reception will be held in the church Fellowship Hall following the service. The burial with Masonic Rites will be at 2 PM at Poplar Spring Cemetery New Annex off of Homestead Road.
