Georgia Mae Offtermatt, 91, widow of Wilbur F. Offtermatt, was called home to her Lord on January 24, 2014. She was born in Benefit, VA to the late James and Maggie Mae Gilbert Castellow and was predeceased by two sisters, Annie Bell and Martha Patterson, and by a brother, Jimmy Castellow. Mrs. Offtermatt was a very active member of the Church of the Risen Savior in Albuquerque, NM prior to moving to The Village at Woods Edge.
Left to cherish her memory are two sisters, Aleene C. Hayes and her husband, Billy, of Hunterdale and Pauline C. Padgett of Suffolk and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home with Fr. Charles Saglio officiating. Burial will follow in Albuquerque, NM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
