Suffolk – Garvin Ralston "G. R." Holland, Jr., 38, passed away December 11, 2022 in Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital.

Born and raised in Suffolk, he was a graduate of Lakeland High School and was a Sergeant in the US Army with 17 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Garvin R. Holland, Sr. and Mary Ann Meade Holland; two daughters, Kirsten Biel and Kaitlynne Holland; a son, Travis Holland; his girlfriend, Samantha "Sam" Goebel; three sisters, Deria Binetsky, Barbie Cooper, and Donna Hofius (James); and a brother, Eric Holland.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors performed will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1 to 3 PM in Wright Funeral Home.  Refreshments will be served following the service in the Holland's home, 9640 Southwestern Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23437.
