Suffolk – Gail Albright Saunders, 61, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born April 18, 1951 in Richmond, Virginia and was a daughter of the late George and Edith Bailey Albright.
She was an employee of the Virginia State ABC Board and was a well-known artist in the area.
Gail is survived by her sons, Wayne D. "Woody" Saunders, Jr., wife Candace, and Stephen K. Saunders; two grandchildren Summer Saunders and Brandon Saunders; and her sister, Brenda A. Maher.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, February 27th at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service and suggest memorials be made to either the Suffolk Art League or The American Cancer Society.www.wrightfuneralhome.org
