Franklin – Frederick Harold "Fred" Panton, 59, passed away May 8, 2021 at his home.  A native of Suffolk, he was predeceased by his father, James Frederick Panton.

Fred was a 1980 graduate of Suffolk High School and received an Associate's Degree from Shenandoah University.  He was a retired police officer for the City of Suffolk after 26 years of service.

He was a loving father and wonderful husband.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 27 years, Lois Peace Panton; his mother, Fannie Green Panton; and a son, Aaron Jacob Panton.

A Memorial Service will be held 7PM Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
