Courtland – Frances Pulley Moore, 99, widow of Handy Moore, passed away March 6, 2017 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Moore was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of the late Junius W. and Mayab Owens Pulley and was predeceased by a sister, Anne P. Prince and two brothers, Junius Waverly Pulley, Jr. and F. Bert Pulley.

She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church and a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College. Frances excelled as a grandmother, a bridge player and as a human being.

Survivors include a son, Handy Gail Moore, two grandchildren, Kenneth Moore and Kathleen Moore, one great grandson, Ashton Owens Moore, one brother, C. Graham Pulley, a special niece, Sandra B. Holloman, two ex daughters-in-law, Patricia H. Bass and Susan C. Clayton and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11AM Thursday March 9, 2017 in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin with the Rev. James W. Browder, III officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
