Windsor – Sarah Frances Saunders "Snooks" Edwards, 79, widow of Jessie Curtis Edwards, died December 14, 2007. A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Allen and Otelia Gay Saunders. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Suffolk Moose Lodge,loved dancing, and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Daisy E. Stone and husband, Arthur, Jr., Carol E. Willman and husband, Ricky, Sandra E. Quillin, all of Windsor; four sisters, Charlotte Woodie of Wakefield, Nancy Hall and Brenda Marshall, both of Franklin, Becky Hedgepeth of Windsor; seven grandchildren, Lisa Snell, Jessica Hendricks, Crystal Webb, Jennifer Quillin, Caleb Willman, J. T. Willman, Berline Waterfield; and six great-grandchildren, Alicia, Hannah, and Dixie Snell, Garrett and Aiden Hendricks, and Destiny Webb. Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Munford and Willie Clark; two brothers, A. J. and Johnnie Saunders; and a son-in-law, Mark Quillin.
A funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 am at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rob. E. Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Uzzell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
