Suffolk – Florence Odell Holt Darden, 86, widow of Willie Darden, passed away October 18, 2018 in her home.  Florence was a native of Southampton County and was the daughter of the late Anthony Holt and Rosa Wilkins Holt and was predeceased by her siblings Horace, Cephus, Buddy, Virginia, and Dot.  She was a retired seamstress for Narricot Industries.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Diane Lomba and Jean Yelton; two sons Willie "Buster" Darden, Jr. (Debbie) and Horace A. "Peanut" Darden (Jo Ann); a brother J. T. Holt; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  www.wrightfuneralhome.org
