Franklin – Father Charles Albert Saglio, Jr., 80, went to be with his Lord on December 30, 2022.  Born in New Britain, CT, and grew up in Clinton, CT, he was a son of the late Charles Albert Saglio and Angeline Scalise Saglio.

Father Charles received a PhD from Old Dominion University and a Doctorate of Theology from Catholic University.  He was a priest in the Catholic Church for 45 years and taught at St. Leo University in Newport News at Ft. Eustis.

Survivors include a sister, Rita S. Rourke and her husband James of Deep River, CT, a niece Marissa Smith and her husband Randall of Cheshire, CT, and a great niece Satya Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10AM Saturday, January 14, 2023 in St. Jude Catholic Church in Franklin.  A Memorial Service will also be held at 11AM Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Newport News.
