Franklin – Everett Thomas Spivey, 72, passed away March 10, 2025 in Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads.  Born in Franklin and raised in Carrsville, he was a son of the late Archer Burlee and Christine Miles Spivey.

Everett was a 1971 graduate of Windsor High School and served in the US Army.  He was a retired Senior Purchasing Agent for International Paper and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.  Everett loved golf and was a longtime member of Cypress Cove Country Club and the Franklin Shag Club.  Anyone who new Everett knew he was a "Southern Gentleman".

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Amelia Howell Spivey; a daughter, Holley Blythe Inman (Chris Nance); a son, Kimberley "Kim" Blythe and his wife (Lynnette); two sisters, Judy S. Rhodes (Maurice Arnold) and Melanie S. Gwaltney (Jesse Lane); and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Monday, March 17, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Charles Qualls, Rev. Jeremy Poplin, and Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  A reception will follow the service in Franklin Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, or the American Cancer Society.
